Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold Review | Builds on a strong foundation

Google has expanded its premium foldable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Priced at Rs 1,86,999 for its sole 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, the new flagship represents a Rs 15,000 price increase over its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The device enters an increasingly competitive market dominated by Samsung and its latest Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra devices, positioning itself as a strong contender with enhanced displays, deep artificial intelligence integration, and refined hardware.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold retains a large form factor featuring a new olive green option alongside a fingerprint-resistant composite matte back. Constructed with spacecraft-grade aluminum and offering an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, the device incorporates extensive recycled materials. Measuring 10.1mm thick when folded, it remains slightly heavier and thicker than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, which measures 9.7mm, and the Fold 8 Ultra at 8.9mm.

Display improvements are a key highlight of the new model. The outer cover screen expanded slightly to a 6.5-inch Super Actua OLED panel, while the main 8-inch Super Actua Flex inner display features ultra-thin glass and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. Both screens now deliver a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, up from 3,000 nits on the previous model. While display crease visibility has been reduced compared to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Samsung maintains a slight edge with more seamless inner screens.

Under the hood, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is powered by Google's new Tensor G6 processor. In synthetic benchmark testing, the device recorded a Geekbench single-core score of 2,281, a multi-core score of 5,779, and an AnTuTu score of 1,369,819. Although these synthetic scores fall behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powered Galaxy Z Fold 8 and show an 8 percent drop on AnTuTu compared to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, real-world performance remains smooth. Daily multitasking, system UI animations, and intensive games like BGMI and Asphalt 8 execute without lag.

Software remains a core strength for Google. Shipping with Android 17, the phone is backed by seven years of system, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Artificial intelligence is natively integrated via Gemini Intelligence, Gemini Nano, and Gemini Live. Unique features include HiLight, which allows users to interact with Gemini while the device rests face down using camera island LED indicators, as well as Rambler for conversational voice-to-text drafting and floating chat Bubbles.

For photography, the foldable features a triple-camera rear system consisting of a 48 MP primary sensor, a 10.5 MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 10.8 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and up to 30x Super Zoom. The main camera provides high clarity, detailed textures, and natural color reproduction across daylight and low-light environments. Overall, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold delivers a well-rounded, AI-driven experience that builds steadily on Google's foldable ambitions.
