Arunachal CM Unveils Vision 2036 for Youth Skill & Entrepreneurship Growth

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced a comprehensive roadmap to empower the state's youth through skill development, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness by 2036. In a video shared on X, Khandu introduced the Arunachal Human Capital & Economic Transformation Vision 2036 and the Arun MSME Mission, outlining ambitious targets to transform the state's economic landscape.

The vision aims to train 100,000 youths, support 10,000 entrepreneurs, and facilitate 10,000 overseas placements. Additionally, it seeks to establish 10,000 apprenticeships, forge 100 industry partnerships, and modernize all 10 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into skill hubs and centers of excellence. The Arun MSME Mission will provide annual support to 500 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through revival programs, market linkages, capacity building, and export assistance. These initiatives are designed to foster local entrepreneurship, create jobs, and accelerate youth-led economic growth in Arunachal Pradesh.

Speaking about the vision, Khandu emphasized the shift in youth aspirations from seeking traditional employment to pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities. "Today's youth is not only looking for a job, but also looking for employment," he noted, highlighting the growing emphasis on self-employment and innovation among young people. The Arun MSME Mission, he said, is a direct response to this trend, aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in the state.

Khandu described Vision 2036 as a pathway to building "a future-ready workforce, globally competitive entrepreneurs, and an innovation-driven economy." The plan focuses on equipping young people with skills and opportunities that extend beyond state and national boundaries, preparing them for global competitiveness. The modernization of ITIs and industry partnerships are key components of this strategy, ensuring that training programs align with emerging employment trends and market demands.

"The youth who get skills today will scale the growth of Arunachal tomorrow," Khandu stated, underscoring the long-term benefits of investing in youth development. The vision is set to create an economy powered by talent, opportunity, and global recognition, positioning Arunachal Pradesh as a hub for skilled professionals and innovative enterprises by 2036.
