Firms that protect and rebuild these pathways will secure a competitive advantage in the senior labor market of the future.

The coming decade’s challenge is not the end of work, but the preservation of pathways that develop the next generation of experts. AI may be reshaping the labor market, but its breadth also creates opportunity. As a general-purpose technology, AI is seeding new forms of work across every sector.
