Ireland’s Electric Picnic festival sees mass support for Palestine amid Gaza calls

Human rights advocates and campaigning groups organized major solidarity actions for Palestine during Ireland's annual Electric Picnic music festival. Organizations such as Amnesty International and the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign used the popular cultural event to raise awareness regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza and mobilize public pressure against financial ties with Israel.

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign organized a visibility walk through the Global Green area at the Electric Picnic Arena. Game of Thrones actor and activist Liam Cunningham joined Irish activist Mikey Cullen, a former participant in humanitarian flotilla missions, for an hour-long panel on the Manifesto stage. The discussion, titled Gaza Flotilla, addressed maritime blockades, international humanitarian law, and the role of global civil society in supporting Gaza.
