Israel, US 'sworn enemies of Muslim unity', Mojtaba Khamenei says

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, has accused the United States and Israel of deliberately undermining Muslim unity through division and interference across the Islamic world. In a written statement released Sunday, Mojtaba Khamenei framed Washington and Tel Aviv as persistent obstacles to solidarity among Muslims, warning that their policies exploit internal differences to weaken collective resistance.
The statement, carried by regional outlets including Al Jazeera, described the US and Israel as “sworn enemies” of cohesion within the global Muslim community, or Ummah. Khamenei argued that American and Israeli policies intentionally amplify racial, cultural, social, and political divisions to prevent unified action against foreign domination.
“They strive to turn various differences into pretexts for creating discord among Muslim people in Iran and in any other Islamic country,” he wrote, according to Al Jazeera. He warned that fragmentation allows external powers to exploit the region’s resources and sovereignty.
Khamenei questioned whether the Palestinian people would remain vulnerable under occupation if Muslims were united. He asked whether Gulf nations would tolerate foreign interference in their lands if they stood together under the banner of Islam. His remarks emphasized shared struggle across West Asia and North Africa, framing the conflict as one that transcends national borders.
He called on Muslim leaders to identify their true adversaries and resist external manipulation. “The criminal rulers of America and the fake Zionist regime are sworn enemies of this unity and friendship,” he declared. He extended the critique beyond Iran and the broader Islamic resistance front, stating that American and Israeli hostility targets the entire Muslim Ummah.
Khamenei’s comments come amid ongoing tensions between Iran, the US, and Israel, including recent military exchanges and sanctions. His statement was released as part of Iran’s annual Quds Day commemorations, which focus on Palestinian rights and resistance to occupation.
