LeadNews24's editorial output is organised across eight core categories. Each category reflects a distinct but often interconnected domain of power, policy, and public interest. The categories are not rigid silos — major investigations frequently span several of them. They serve as navigational tools for readers and as editorial framing for our contributors.
Investigations
The central pillar of LeadNews24. Original, long-form investigative reporting built from primary sources, document analysis, and extended source development. Investigations may run for months before publication. They represent the most resource-intensive and editorially significant work we do. Stories here are held to the highest verification standards and go through full legal review before publication.
Leaks
Primary source material — documents, data sets, internal communications, and official records — submitted to LeadNews24 by sources and published in the public interest. Leaks are published with editorial context and authentication notes. We do not publish raw material without contextual framing. Readers will always know the provenance of material in this category to the extent it can be disclosed without endangering sources.
State Power
Reporting on the structures, mechanisms, and actors through which political and institutional power is exercised, concentrated, or abused. This includes coverage of executive power, legislative processes, administrative systems, law enforcement, military operations, and the relationships between public institutions and private interests. State Power is where we examine how governance actually functions, beyond official description.

This category requires the greatest care — both in terms of source protection and in responsible handling of information that could affect operational security or individual safety.
Global Affairs

Global Affairs at LeadNews24 is not a bulletin of events — it is an examination of the forces behind them.
Economy & Resources
Reporting on the economic systems, financial institutions, resource extraction industries, and policy decisions that distribute — or concentrate — wealth and material power. This includes investigation of offshore financial structures, corporate lobbying, development finance, sanctions regimes, and the relationship between economic policy and political outcome.

Opinion and Analysis content represents the views of individual authors and is editorially separated from our factual reporting categories. We publish perspectives that challenge our own reporting when the evidence warrants it. Intellectual diversity, not uniformity, characterises this section.
